Jakarta PPKUKM Aims to Expand Creative Product Market in Europe

The Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and Small Medium Enterprises (PPKUKM) Agency is exploring the expansion of Jakarta's creative industrial MSME market to Europe. This initiative was carried out during working visit to Paris, France, from May 19 to 21, 2025.

Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, stated that the activity is a concrete step in supporting local entrepreneurs to compete globally.

According to her, this work visit aimed to build strategic collaborations with various stakeholders in international creative industry sector, as well as a part of the city government's strategies to raise local products' competitiveness on the global stage.
The event, which began on Monday (5/19), started with a meeting with President of Paris Fashion Week (PFW), Pascal Morand.
In the meeting, Ratu along with Jakarta Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) Administrator, Vira Marselina, explored the potential participation of Jakarta's fostered entrepreneurs in the prestigious global fashion event.
This was followed by a meeting with Deputy Mayor of Paris, Arnaud Ngatca. The meeting aimed to strengthen intercity relations and encourage collaboration in the development of city creative industry.
On Tuesday (5/20), the jakarta Government conducted a benchmarking visit to the iconic shopping center, Printemps, and met with Chief Partnership Officer, Emmanuel Suissa and Director Partnership, Arnaud Stahl. This visit served as a reference for developing Dekranasda Gallery in Jakarta.
On the same day, a strategic meeting was held with Director of L’Adresse Paris Agency, Amal Sultan, to prepare for the participation of Jakarta's products in an international exhibition scheduled for September 2025.
The series of visits concluded with a meeting with Director of the Ateliers de Paris City of Paris, Lauriane Duriez, on Wednesday (5/21).
This activity aimed to explore creative collaboration and knowledge exchanges with French creative industry players, as well as an audience with the Indonesian Embassy in paris to discuss market opportunities and economic diplomacy for Jakarta's local products in Europe.
